Hers was not a poor family, they had their own land and house etc. Alfie then struggled & completed High School and at age went to Malaysia to work & be the sole bread-winner for herself, her mum & 2 younger siblings who were still in school. She worked with an Indian family there for 3 yrs from to . Then, after a short home leave, came to Spore in & has been here ever since. Alfie has a total of yrs experience as a helper. In this time she has worked with Indian, Chinese & finally with an American/Belgian family for 5 yrs & has become very proficient in every department expected of a domestic helper. Her current US employers are very happy with her work and even leaves her in charge of the house, dog & belongings when they go back to Belgium on holidays. Next, she wants to sign up for a 4 yr teacher's training course here, at the end of which she will go back & run a school. She speaks very well, carries herself very well & despite her vast cross-cultural experience is humble & has that ever so willing-to-learn-something-new attitude.
