Their earnings were not even sufficient to see to the schooling needs of herself and her 3 siblings. So she stopped after high school & came here to work. When her son was 5 mths old she went to HK, worked another 2 yrs. Came back to Spore in . Her son is all settled now & she's back here as a tourist. Atin is soft spoken, looks dull & appears to have a deadpan demeanour but is an extremely hardworker with a great deal of initiative. She's very confident about her own capabilities. Says she is "Hardworking; employer says my work is good, i am diligent, responsible everytime, energetic, dont like to waste time, Good with Kids; I become childish also when i am with them, Good Cook; for Chinese & Malay food, familiar with Cantonese cuisine & their elaborate soups, is Trustworthy; mam leaves her at home with the 5 mth old baby & goes overseas" etc. Atin wishes to work another yrs or so to ensure a good education & career for her son. Intends to save for a home for herself & her son too. When she returns she hopes to open a salon.
