I would not say we are lucky, we are sad because it affect every body mind. Employers/Helpers/Agents. What we can do is handles every complaints and issues promptly and swiftly and ensure it will not escalate to and unpleasant situations.
WHAT I DID IMMEDIATELY IS CALL MY EMPLOYER AND ASK HIM TO COUNT 1-3. HE DID SO AND LAUGHING. A GREAT RELIEF.
Problems always start with small issues and will escalate when agents is no where to be contact or ignore the issue.
In most cases, both parties knows their own problems, be it employers of helpers. Usually we cool down the situation and assure them of a settlement so that the helper can work till the new helper come.
Although there is this monitoring system about retention and frequent changes, this chemistry with helpers and employer is magical which we do not understands even in my 9 years in the industries.
A seemingly hopeless maid find another employer with more demanding work scope and worked happily.
Most employers employed a maid become they need them, so it will be very difficult if we let problem escalate to a level where the helper has to walk out or refuse to stay till a new helper come. We have been very successful in do asking a helper to wait till the new maid arrive.
Sometimes it also best to let the helpers go and wait for the new one if situations allowed and both parties agreed.
There is no perfect employers and there is no perfect helpers.
