Wena was 6 then. Dad was always in Jakarta working. All siblings looked after each other & scrambled for piece meal work in neighbouring farms in between school in order to survive. Wena too worked in a farm since age . Came to S'pore in & has not returned ever since. She says she was well liked by all her employers as she was "hardworking, good with kids, picked up cooking well, was trustworthy, honest, responsible & was able to work independently". Wena carries herself very well, always looks neat & tidy & speaks well too.
