Istiadah is a 29-year-old Indonesian national. She is able to understand and communicate in simple English, allowing her to follow instructions and engage effectively with employers. Her adaptability across cultural settings reflects her respectful nature and willingness to learn. She has gained familiarity with each household’s routines and expectations and has successfully integrated into their daily lives.

She has over two years of hands-on experience caring for a 65-year-old Ah Mah with age-related ailments. Her responsibilities included assisting with showering, feeding, toileting, and dressing. Administering medication as instructed. Supporting mobility and fall prevention. Providing emotional companionship and daily supervision.

For nine months, Istiadah cared for an 83-year-old diabetic Ah Kong who had undergone leg amputation. Her duties included showering, toileting, dressing, medication administration, safe transfer and wheelchair handling. Escorting him to dialysis sessions twice weekly, she adapted to medical routines with discretion and ensured his comfort and dignity at all times.

Istiadah has also supported two employers with childcare across various age groups. Providing after-school care, including lunch/snack preparation, supervising playtime and ensuring safety at playgrounds, managing nap routines and engaging in age-appropriate activities. Her gentle and attentive approach made her a trusted presence in the children’s daily lives.

Having worked with families of different ethnicities, Istiadah has learned to prepare a wide range of traditional dishes, including dishes like kung poh chicken, claypot tofu, chap chai, fried pork with chili, char siew, black pepper pork, black pepper crab, sweet & sour pork, nasi briyani, samisa, butter chicken, to name a few. She is confident in her cooking and able to follow recipes or employer instructions to suit household preferences.
