With more than seven years of experience working in Hong Kong for three families, she has focused primarily on newborn, infant, and toddler care. She is able to speak Cantonese fairly well and can communicate in simple English.

During her time in Hong Kong, Herlina cared for one newborn, three infants, and a toddler across three Chinese families. In her first employment, she provided dedicated nanny care to a newborn and a one‑year‑old for five years. As both girls grew, her responsibilities evolved to align with their developmental stages. She supported their feeding, hygiene, and early learning needs in the early years, and later assisted with school routines.

She is capable of preparing simple Chinese meals, particularly Hong Kong–style home dishes. Her range of dishes include herbal soups, stir‑fried vegetables, steamed fish, steamed chicken, steamed egg, porridge, fried noodles, fried rice, fried fish, and fried chicken.

In addition to childcare and cooking, Herlina managed general household chores. As she was caring for infants and toddlers, she was especially mindful to keep the home clean, hygienic, and safe, ensuring that the environment was free of hazards such as small items on the floor.
