Due to financial constraints, she started working immediately after her secondary school. Worked for a bit as domestic helper and also in a sundry shop to support her family’s income in Indonesia. At decided to work overseas to earn more. In Malaysia she worked for 1 yr for an employer (Chinese) taking care of a bedridden elderly. When she was , she came to Singapore and worked for 4.
