Farida is known as "Ida" to all. Stopped studies after high school & worked in a grocery store for 2 yrs. During this time she was forced to leave her husband too as he became slack in his work & was fooling around with other girls. So she left her 6 yr old daughter with the family & went to Surabaya where she worked for 2 yrs as a helper in a bungalow. Then came here in & has been here since then with 4 employers. Ida comes across as a very decent individual with no fanfare. In fact, she has a very fervent desire to work hard cos there are too lives dependent on her back home. We are inclined to believe her in her own description of herself where she says she is very loved by all her employers because she is "hardworking, patient, honest, a good cook, creative in thinking up solutions, good with kids, trustworthy & responsible". Ida wishes to work another 4 yrs or so then go back & open a small eatery as she is a good cook & has picked up additional cooking skills here in S'pore.
