She has worked with two employers in Singapore and Hong Kong, gaining valuable experience in caring for both special needs teenager and elderly person. She is able to converse in simple English and can understand basic Cantonese, though she is unable to reply. She prepared her for school each morning, including showering, diaper changing, hygiene, and uniform, and accompanied her to school. In class, she assisted the girl by gently holding and guiding her hands during coloring and drawing and supported her with simple hand and leg exercises. After-school she continued with feeding, hygiene, exercise, and leisure routines. She also maintained the household, cleaning a 3-bedroom, 2-toilet condominium, doing laundry and ironing, and helping Madam with cooking preparations. She left the family when Madam returned to India with the children. Her duties included monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar, administering insulin injections and medication, and assisting with showering, toileting, diaper changes, meals. She accompanied Ah Mah for regular medical check‑ups, daily exercise, marketing, and leisure outings. She also managed household chores in a 2-bedroom, 1-toilet apartment, including cleaning, laundry, and cooking.

 

Galuh enjoys cooking and is able to prepare a variety of dishes. These include sweet and sour pork, steamed fish, steamed egg, briyani, curry chicken, dhal, prata, stir‑fried vegetables, fried rice, porridge, grilled meats, curries, and sambal.

 

She has proven ability in caring for an autistic teenager and a disabled elderly person, showing patience, attentiveness, and adaptability. She has no experience with newborns and infants but is willing to learn. Galuh is ready to return to Singapore and is fine with taking care of elderly, disabled persons, special needs children, and general childcare.
