She is also able to plan ahead and be forward thinking about what we need. Yayuk joined us when my older child was months old and I was pregnant with my second child. My second child needed heart surgery at birth and Yayuk took on her responsibilities with great care. She was instrumental in taking care of the house independently and looking after my toddler at the same time while I stayed at the hospital full time with my newborn for one month. After my daughter’s heart surgery, Yayuk cared for my daughter like she was her own. My children grew very close to her and ask about her till this day. Not only is Yayuk very competent in looking after kids, she is a very good cook with Asian dishes. She was also able to prepare my children’s meals without my supervision. My kids are now very good eaters, not fussy with food and eat their vegetables. I really have to credit a lot of that to Yayuk-not just because of her delicious dishes but also the manner in which she introduced and coaxed them to eat.
