Wakiah has over 9 years of hands-on experience in elderly care. She has 5 years of work experience in Taiwan and 4 years in Singapore. She communicates fairly well in Mandarin and English, and understands a little Hokkien, allowing her to interact effectively with elderly individuals.

She has cared for elderly individuals across four families, supporting patients with stroke, cancer, and diabetes. Her caregiving duties included administering insulin and Epoetin alfa injections, giving medications, assisting with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), diaper changing, tube feeding, and mobility support. She also monitored blood pressure, helped with light exercises, and escorted patients to hospital appointments and therapy sessions.
