She speaks simple English and is fluent in Malay. She has worked for two employers in Singapore and one employer in Malaysia, gaining wide experience in childcare, household management, and cooking. For three years she took care of the daily needs of the family members, prepared the boy for school, pressed his uniform, cleaned his shoes and socks, and prepared breakfast. After school she provided care such as lunch, supervising showering, homework, and play. She also managed household chores in a two‑storey landed house with five bedrooms and three toilets. In addition, she cooked simple Chinese and Indonesian dishes including babi masak merah, steamed fish, steamed chicken, soups, rendang, satay, curries, sambals, fried rice, fried fish, chicken rice, and many home‑style meals.

Her first Singapore employer from 2022 to 2023 was a Malay family of seven consisting of Madam and six children aged 12, 10, 9, 5, 4, and 2. She focused on caring for two autistic children, a 10‑year‑old girl who is also disabled and a 2‑year‑old boy. She performed all activities of daily living such as showering, feeding, dressing, supporting mobility, and administering medication. She faced many problems with the autistic children, like tantrums and crying, but she stayed calm and patient. She always watched them carefully to keep them safe and gave them care with kindness. Both children attended special school from 1pm to 5pm, during which time she completed household chores, cleaned the HDB flat, and supervised the other younger children. She rarely cooked as looking after the children were here priority. She also cooked simple Indonesian and Malay home‑style meals for the family’s lunch and dinner, notably steamed dishes, fried items, stir-fry vegetables, soups, and curries. In addition, she managed household chores, cleaning a three‑bedroom HDB flat with two toilets. She assisted in the daily needs of the other family members as well.

Diah has returned home and reunited with her family and taken time to rest. She is now interview‑ready and prepared to be deployed again to Singapore, with her family’s full support for her decision to continue working abroad.
