She worked for a Malaysian family in Malaysia from 2003 to 2010 and completed a 7-year contract. During this time, she took care of three children aged 12, 8, and 3, helping them prepare for school and assisting with their daily needs. She also handled household chores such as cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, and maintaining a large two-storey house for a family of five. In this household of four people living in an apartment, she mainly cared for a newborn baby, including preparing milk, feeding, changing diapers, bathing the baby, and sleeping with the baby. In addition, she managed general housework such as simple cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, and mopping.

Nurleli has also worked in a canteen selling food. Nurleli is able to cook Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine such as nasi lemak, rendang, ayam masak merah, much more.
