Her first employment in Singapore was with a Chinese family of four (Sir, Ma’am, and two boys aged 7 and 3) from 2022 to 2022 for three months. After school, she showered them, prepared lunch, managed nap routines, and took them to the playground. She also cleaned a 3‑bedroom, 2‑toilet HDB flat, handled housekeeping, and cooked three meals daily. Her responsibilities included daily monitoring of blood pressure and blood sugar, administering medication, showering, toileting, dressing assistance, and attentive dementia care to ensure safety and companionship. In addition, she maintained the household by cleaning a 2‑bedroom, 2‑toilet HDB flat, cooking three meals, and doing marketing.
Cooking Skills: Rustinah is able to cook Chinese and Indonesian dishes such as rendang, soto ayam, curry chicken, steamed fish, and fried kway teow. She adjusts taste and preparation according to the preferences of family members and also prepares meals suitable for Ah Mah’s diabetic condition by moderating seasoning and ingredients to meet her dietary needs.
