She has worked in Singapore for six years with three employers, gaining experience in elderly care, newborn, infant care, and childcare. She is able to communicate in both English and Malay.  

 

From 2015 to 2016, she worked for a Chinese family of five consisting of Sir, Ma’am, 10-year-old daughter, Ah Mah, and a 70+-year-old Ah Gong. Her duties included preparing the girl for school and managing her after-school care. She also supported Ah Gong with mobility and medication and supervised his shower for safety. She also assisted Ah Mah with cooking preparation and managed housekeeping in a 3-bedroom, 2-toilet HDB flat.

 

Between 2017 and 2019, she served a Chinese family of three: Sir, Ma’am, and an 80-year-old diabetic Ah Gong. She assisted him with showering, dressing, mobility, blood sugar monitoring, and hospital visits. She also managed cooking and housekeeping in a 3-bedroom, 2-toilet HDB flat. Ma'am is the daughter of her previous employer. She prepared the elder child’s school items and managed after-school care, while taking full nanny duties for the newborn including feeding, burping, bathing, and nap routines. She also handled cooking and housekeeping in a 2-bedroom, 2-toilet HDB flat.

 

She is able to cook simple Chinese and Indonesian dishes such as beef rendang, steamed fish, steamed tofu, beef soup, stir-fried mixed vegetables, chili sambal with fish or egg, braised meat stew, fried rice, and chicken curry. She continues to learn and improve her cooking skills to meet employer preferences.

 

Nofiyah is eager to return to work in Singapore to support her children’s education and secure a better future, as she is now the sole breadwinner for her family. Her motivation, combined with her experience in elderly care, infant care, childcare, and household duties, makes her a reliable and dedicated helper.
