  Gemalyn is a 38yo Filipino domestic helper. As the second child in her family, she carries a strong sense of responsibility and is motivated to support her loved ones. She now wishes to work in Singapore to improve her financial situation and provide more support for herself and her family.
  
  Jun 2011 to Oct 2015 (4yrs & 4mo) Kuwait: Gemalyn worked in Kuwait for a family of 4 with 2 adults and 1yo twin babies' boy and a girl. The family lived in a 2-storey house with 4 bedrooms and employed 2 Filipino helpers. Gemalyn was solely responsible for all tasks related to the babies, while the other helper managed the rest of the household duties. Her responsibilities included preparing milk, feeding, changing diapers and clothes, bathing the babies, and maintaining their hygiene.
  
  She also took care of baby-related chores such as cleaning the children's room, organizing their belongings, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. As the twins grew older, Gemalyn helped send them to school, supported their daily routines, and assisted with homework when needed. She successfully completed her contract and chose not to renew it, as she wishes to pursue work opportunities in another country.
  
  Arp 2017 to Aug 2022 (5yrs & 4mo) Hong Kong: Gemalyn worked for a Chinese family of 3 with a newborn baby girl, in a 2-bedroom apartment. She was the only helper in the household and was responsible for both infant care and general housework. Her duties for the baby included preparing milk, feeding, changing diapers and clothes, bathing, checking on the baby every hour, and handling night feedings, as she co-slept with the baby.
  
  In addition to childcare, Gemalyn took care of general household chores such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, marketing, and cooking simple Chinese dishes like steamed pork and chicken soup. She also cared for 2 pet cats by feeding them and cleaning their area. She successfully completed her contract and went back to the Philippines for home leave, but due to pandemic-related travel restrictions, she was unable to return to Hong Kong.
  
  Gemalyn looks forward to work in Singapore again to earn money to support her family.
