Ex-SingaporeGrace Alcartado Ventura is a 44-year-old Filipina with a wealth of experience and a deep sense of dedication to her work and family. Maria, Bulacan, with her husband, a 44-year-old laborer.
She completed her secondary education at Queen of Peace High School in 1998. Hoping to become a teacher, she enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Education program, completing her first year in college. Unfortunately, financial difficulties forced her to stop schooling.

1. February 2006 - October 2006
Grace’s first job in Singapore was with a Chinese family living in a 4-room HDB flat. The household included a couple with newborn twins.
A Full-time childcare (feeding, bathing, bottle preparation, sleep routines);
Household chores: cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, and marketing
This role laid the foundation for Grace’s reliability and trustworthiness, especially in handling infant care.
2. April 2007 -April 2013
Grace was hired by another Chinese family, this time living in a 4-room, 3-storey house.
Her responsibilities:
o Full household management: cleaning, laundry, ironing, and marketing
o Cooking a variety of Chinese and Filipino dishes
o Pet care for 2 dogs and car washing
o Assisting the elder with daily routines
Her consistent service over six years demonstrated her loyalty, adaptability, and competence in both caregiving and household duties.
3. June 2014 - May 2024
Grace was re-hired by her second employer, who trusted her deeply. She returned to the same household with identical responsibilities.
· Tenure: 10 years with the same family (including her earlier employment)
Her re-hiring is a testament to her exceptional service, dedication, and harmonious working relationship with her employer. Duties include feeding, bathing, preparing school items, engaging in play, and assisting with homework.
· Elderly Care: Experienced and willing to care for the elderly. She is open to training in direct nursing care if needed.
· Housekeeping: Skilled in general cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organizing the home.
· Cooking: Proficient in Filipino and Chinese cuisines; able to follow recipe books and enthusiastic about learning other international dishes. Jenny Ann completed her secondary education through the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System in 2020 and enhanced her skills by taking vocational courses in Caregiving, Cookery, and Cosmetology.
Her early work experience includes working as a sewer in a garment factory (2002–2005 and briefly in 2006).
In 2007, she ventured overseas and worked as a domestic helper in Singapore until 2008, serving a Chinese family. She was responsible for general household duties and provided assistance to a 62-year-old elder with diabetes and mobility issues, including escorting her to medical appointments and assisting with daily activities.
Currently, Jenny Ann supports her family by doing sewing alterations and selling baked goods like brownies, cupcakes, and egg tarts, while waiting for her application abroad to be processed.
With her hands-on domestic work experience both locally and abroad, she is well-versed in household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, marketing, and car washing.
