Apr 2025 to Feb 2026. For a Chinese family living in a 3 bedroom HDB flat, consisting of the couple and their 5 year old child. She was responsible for childcare and household management, including bathing, assisting with school routines, and school bus drop-off and pick-up. In addition, she handled cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, and car washing. She prepared Chinese dishes, mainly for dinner, such as soup, steamed fish or meat, wonton noodles, stir-fried vegetables, congee, tofu, egg waffles, and barbecue, and other meals according to the family’s preferences. After the birth of her employer’s second child, the wife experienced postpartum and medical complications, it became challenging for her to continue her duties. Her employment ended when the newborn was three months old.
Sep 2023 to Feb 2025. For a Chinese family residing in a 3 storey, 5 bedroom landed property. The household consisted of 3 adults. Her responsibility was to maintain the residence, including regular housekeeping, grocery shopping, cooking, car washing, and basic gardening. She prepared Chinese dishes mostly morning meals for the family such as boiled egg, congee, hot milk tea, scrambled egg, toast, soup noodles or fried dough. Her employment concluded as the employer no longer required the services of a helper.
Mar 2020 to Aug 2023. For a Chinese family residing in a 2-storey, 3 bedroom flat with 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 7. She managed housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, marketing, and car washing. She also assisted with childcare, such as bathing, assisting with school routines, and school terminal bus drop-off and pick-up. She also cared for 2 cats and one Shih Tzu dog, handling feeding and bathing. Maricel prepared daily Chinese meals such as boiled eggs, noodles, sandwiches, for breakfast and soups, steamed fish, stir-fried vegetables, tofu, sweet and sour dishes, stir fried noodles, fried rice, braised pork, and other family-preferred dishes. Her employment ended as the employer no longer required a helper.
