June 2025 to April 2026 in Singapore, Ilyn is working for a Chinese family residing in a condo. The household consisted of 2 adults and an infant. Her duties included cleaning the house, grocery shopping, sterilizing milk bottes and cooking dishes such as Chinese food and Western food. She would prepare meals like air fry chicken , home made hamburgers, macaroni and cheese , quesadilla , chicken teriyaki , homemade noodles , poached chicken , mirin- glazed salmon, oyakodon, home made dumplings, stir fry vegetables.
July 2019 to June 2025 in Singapore, Ilyn worked for a Filipino family living in a 3 bedroom HDB. The household included 5 adults and 3 children aged then aged 15, 7, and 4. Her responsibilities included cleaning the house, grocery shopping, meal planning cooking and childcare. Ilyn used to get them ready for school, send/pick up the two younger ones from school, playing with them and bringing to the playground, She would prepare meals like adobo, stewed mixed vegetables, beehoon, spring rolls, lechon pork belly, pasta bolognese; desserts like leche flan , mango graham cake, bakes cookies, makes pancakes for breakfast, champorado ( cholocate rice porridge). From 2015 to 2017 Ilyn worked for an Arab employer residing in a spacious landed house with 7 rooms in Oman. The family consisted of 4 adults and 2 children aged 7 and newborn. She was the only helper in the house and her main duty was to care for a newborn- she was the one to bathe the baby, change diapers, feeding milk, putting her to sleep, playing with her, sterilizing milk botteles. Ilyn also managed the cleaning of the house, grocery shopping, cooking Arabic food, and newborn care.
