Riyo Putri Rahayu is a 40-year-old Indonesian domestic helper with a total of 11 years of working experience in Singapore. She is experienced, reliable, and has completed multiple contracts with different families, demonstrating her commitment and adaptability.
From 2019 to 2025, she worked for a Chinese family and successfully completed a 6-year contract. She cared for a household of four, including Sir, Mdm, a 2-year-old boy, and later a newborn baby boy. She looked after the older child from age 2 to 8 and the younger child from birth to 6 years old. Her responsibilities included childcare, such as walking the child to and from school (a 30-minute journey each way), as well as marketing at NTUC and Sheng Shiong, cooking, and maintaining a 3-room condo with 2 toilets. She left the family on good terms as the children had grown more independent and the employer could manage on their own.
Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, she completed a 2-year contract with another Chinese family before returning to Indonesia to get married. She took care of a family of four: Sir, Mdm, a 2-year-old girl, and a 2-month-old baby girl. She handled daytime baby care duties such as preparing milk, feeding, diaper changing, and bathing the baby. She also sent the older child to school when she turned 3. In addition, she managed housekeeping, marketing, and cooking in an HDB household.
Earlier, from 2009 to 2011, she completed another 2-year contract with a Malay family of four, including Ah Ma, Sir, and Mdm. She was responsible for housekeeping, cooking, and cleaning in a 3-room HDB flat. She also assisted Ah Ma with grocery shopping at wet markets such as Little India and Geylang Serai.
Riyo is skilled in cooking a wide variety of dishes, including Chinese, Western, and Indonesian cuisine. Some of the dishes she can prepare include chicken rice, curry (fish and chicken), fried rice, fried noodles, rendang, steamed fish, ABC soup, spaghetti, and macaroni soup. She is also able to follow recipes from YouTube, making her flexible and willing to learn new dishes.
In terms of personality, Riyo is patient, nurturing, and attentive, especially when caring for young children and newborns. She is responsible and hardworking, able to manage both childcare and household duties efficiently. She is also independent, trustworthy, and adaptable to different family environments. Remark Completed 2 years contract and returned to Indonesia to get married. From 2014 To 2015 Country Singapore Main Duties Took care of family of 3 pax: Sir, Mdm & Son. Housekeeping for 3 storey Landed house, 4br, 4t, 1 helper. Marketing @NTUC, Sheng Shiong. Cooking Remark She completed 1 year and returned as her father passed on. From 2019 To 2025 Country Singapore Main Duties Took care of 4 pax: Sir, Mdm, 2 yo boy n after 1 year, Mdm pregnant newborn boy. Walked child to school 30 min back and forth. Marketing @ NTUC, Sheng Shiong. Cooking. Housekeeping Condo, 3rm, 2t. Remark She completed 6 years. Siti Laili is a 35-year-old Indonesian Muslim, married with two children aged 7 and 4. She has prior experience working in Singapore, where her main focus was childcare. She is able to understand simple basic English, though replying in English remains a challenge due to limited practice in speaking.
From 2024 to 2026, she was employed by a Malay family of four consisting of Sir, Ma’am, and two children aged 6 and 4, along with a pet cat. Her responsibilities included preparing breakfast, uniforms, schoolbags, and shoes for the children, walking them to and from school, and providing after-school care. She also cared for the family cat, managed housekeeping duties in an HDB maisonette, and handled cooking and marketing. She worked for more than a year before the employer decided to release her as the children had become more independent.
Siti enjoys cooking Malay and Indonesian home-style dishes such as curries, sambals, yellow rice, steamed eggs, steamed fish, rendang, fried rice, fried fish, and stir-fried vegetables. She cooks according to the taste preferences of family members and adjusts meals to suit the age and needs of each household member.
She is now ready to return to work in Singapore.
