  Born and raised in Kalunsan, Maria, Siquijor, Leila grew up as the third of five children in a humble household.
  
  In 1997, she proudly completed her secondary education at Ave Maria Academy.
  
  Soon after, she stepped into the workforce, taking on a job as a server from 1998 to 2001. But her journey did not stop there. The household consisted of a couple and their three daughters, aged 10, 8, and 3. During this time, Leila handled all-around household chores, including cleaning, washing and ironing clothes, cooking, and dishwashing. This first experience laid the foundation for her strong work ethic and ability to manage a busy home.
  
  In April 2012 – December 2012, she moved to Singapore and worked for a Filipino family until December 2012. The family lived in a 3-bedroom HDB flat with two children aged 16 and 10. As an all-around housemaid, Leila maintained the cleanliness of the home, managed laundry and ironing, washed dishes, did marketing, and cooked meals. She also followed instructions carefully to meet the family’s daily needs. This role was especially significant, as her main responsibility was to care for a 19-year-old female who required special attention. Alongside caregiving, she continued performing general household duties such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, gardening, and other errands. The household included an adult and a 12-year-old child. In addition to her usual household tasks, Leila took on extra responsibilities such as washing two cars and caring for a dog, showing her flexibility and willingness to take on varied duties. The family has two young children aged 7 and 1. In this role, she focuses on both household management and childcare—preparing meals, maintaining cleanliness, and attending to the children’s daily needs, including supervision and care.
  
  Across all her experiences, Leila has accumulated around seven years of overseas employment in Singapore, along with her earlier work in the Philippines. She has developed strong skills in housekeeping, childcare, basic caregiving, cooking Filipino and simple Chinese dishes, as well as additional tasks like pet care, gardening, and car washing.
