  Dahlia Dena is a 28-year-old single Muslim from Indonesia. She successfully completed a 4-year contract in Singapore caring for newborn and young children. She expresses herself fairly well in English and continues to improve her communication skills, enabling her to interact confidently with employers and children. From 2022 to 2026, she worked for a Chinese family of six: Sir, Ma’am, Sister, and three daughters (an 11-year-old with mild autism, a 2-year-old, and a newborn in 2024), along with three cats. Her duties included preparing and walking two children to and from school, personally accompanying the autistic child by bus, and providing after-school care such as meals, playtime, nap supervision, and guidance. She served as nanny to the newborn until six months of age, when the baby began attending childcare. She also managed household chores in a 4‑bedroom, 2-toilet HDB flat, cooked daily dinners, handled marketing, and took care of the cats by feeding them, cleaning the litter boxes, and ensuring the home was free from odor and cat fur. She is able to cook simple Chinese and Indonesian dishes tailored to the family’s tastes and preferences. Her cooking includes soups, curries, sambals, and home-style meals that balance nutrition and flavor.  Dahlia is now ready to return to Singapore to work. She is motivated to continue supporting families with childcare, household management, pet care, and cooking.
