  Sofiatun is a 45-year-old divorced Indonesian Muslim with two children, a 24-year-old daughter and a 20-year-old son. She has an excellent employment record, having completed 13 years of elderly care experience with two Singapore families. She is able to converse, read, and write simple English, and is confident in handling household management and caregiving responsibilities. From 2012 to 2023, she worked for her first employer, a Chinese family of two consisting of an 84-year-old Ah Mah and her adult son. Over 11 years, she cared for Ah Mah who was initially weak and later became frail from age 90 onwards. Her duties included assisting with showering, dressing, toileting, medication, and monitoring high blood pressure. She accompanied Ah Mah for medical checkups, marketing, and leisure walks, while also managing household chores such as cleaning a three-bedroom, two-toilet HDB flat and cooking daily meals. From 2024 to 2026, she worked for her second employer, a Chinese family of three consisting of healthy 92-year-Ah Gong, and 89-year-old Ah Mah, and a 20-year-old grandson. She assisted with daily routines, supported their everyday needs, and accompanied Ah Mah for medical checkups. In addition, she managed household duties including cleaning a two-storey terrace house with four bedrooms and three toilets, cooking, marketing, and gardening. She enjoys cooking and is skilled in preparing Chinese and Indonesian dishes such as steamed fish, oyster sauce chicken, sweet & sour pork, cereal prawn, chicken soup, fried rice, porridge, stir-fried vegetables, and satay. Her cooking reflects her ability to provide nutritious and flavorful meals suited to family preferences. Having rested, she is now ready to return to work in Singapore. Her motivation is to continue supporting her children’s future while applying her extensive caregiving and household management experience.
