  MARY JOY is 37 years old and blessed with 5 children, aged 15, 14, 13, 9, and 8 years old. She is the 6th amongst the 11 siblings. Due to poverty, she is used to working as a helper from an early age. She washed and ironed clothes for neighbors on weekends or cleaned their house or helped them take care of their children to earn money.
  
  From 2018 to 2021, she worked in a bungalow, served a couple, and took care of their 8-year-old and 13-year-old children. She cleaned the house, washed clothes, ironed, marketing, and cooked for them. Her service was no longer required.
  
  From 2021 to 2026, she worked in a bungalow house. She was employed to take care of an elderly couple. The Grandpa was a cancer patient and passed away in Sep 2023. She continued to work to take care of the Granny. The Granny passed away last Feb 2026 due to pneumonia. She gave them medicines, did some massage, helped them with bathing and changing clothes, and changing diapers. When their children\s families visited them, she also took care of them as well as great/grandchildren. The great/grandchildren were from 3 years old and above. She would bathe, change clothes and diapers, play with toys with them, and sing nursery rhymes. She also cooked for them and fed them. She cleaned the house, washed and ironed clothes, did marketing, cooked, and ran errands. Whenever the guests came, she would cook for them. She cooked mainly Filipino dishes. Such as, laswa (vegetable soup), cansi, batchoy (noodle soup), pancit molo (wonton soup dish), Chicken Inasal (grilled), Chicken Binakol (chicken stew), pinamalhan na isda (fish stew), apan-apan adobo (stir-fried kangkong), baked talaba, abled oyster, chicken tunuon, chicken wrappped with banana leaves, pangat (taro leaves with coconut milk), liempo (grilled pork belly), tambo ( bamboo shoots with coconut milk and other vegetables, spaghetti, fried chicken, to name a few. She is able to follow recipe books and youtube. They also have dogs and cats. Sometimes she would cook the dog food, and she bathed the dogs. She feeds the cats too. Her service is no longer required.
