  Melanie worked for another Chinese family living in an apartment with 2 bedrooms and 1 toilet. She was the only helper in the household.
  
  Her main responsibility was managing the household independently. Her duties included cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing, and maintaining the home in a clean and organized condition.
