Was working at a fish market to bring up her kids. Her empl attests to Des' qualities in their ref letter "She has shown herself to be responsible & trustworthy & had taken good care of my children. She has learnt Asian cooking especially Chinese & is familiar & good with her Filipina dishes. She is also a matured & independent worker". Des then worked 3yrs with a Norwegian family further honing her cooking & h'keeping skills & helping care for 2 kids. Theri ref letter says "Lourdes has done her duties diligently & cheerfully. She is a good cook, & in addition to Asian dishes she has learnt to cook European & Scandinavian cuisine. " After, Des worked with a US family for 6mths until they left S'pore. Since then had 4 short employments due to no fault of hers, in one of which she was locked in the house all day. Despite her exp she comes across as a simple & cheerful person w/ maturity & experience on her side.
