Torres is a 43yo Filipino domestic helper. She is blessed with 2 children aged of 23yo (girl) and 21yo(boy). Torres is currently as cashier in refueling station with low income. Therefore, she is looking forward to work in Singapore again to earn more money for her children.
Apr 2017 to Apr 2018 (1yrs) Singapore: Torres works for a Chinese family of 8 with 4 adults, 2 elderly (aged of 62yo & 64yo) and 2 children (aged of 2yoand 4yo) both are boy. They are staying in HDB with 4 bedrooms and employed 2 helpers. Torres was solely responsible for childcare. The other helper was mainly in charge of caring for the elderly.
In addition to her childcare responsibilities, Torres also helped with general housekeeping such as cleaning, washing, ironing, laundry, car washing, gardening, and cooking. She is able to cook various Chinese dishes such as porridge, stir-fried vegetables, pork rib soup, steamed fish, and more.
Oct 2022 to Oct 2024 (2yrs) Hong Kong: Torres worked for a
Chinese family consisting of 3 members, including a 4yo daughter. Her main responsibility was childcare, which included showering and dressing the child, preparing breakfast, and getting her ready for school. She also performed general housework such as cleaning, washing, and ironing. Cooking was shared, she sometimes prepared meals, but the employer, who is a chef, also did some of the cooking.
The family had three pets - two dogs (a Pomeranian and a Shih Tzu) and one American cat. She was responsible for their daily care, including feeding, showering, and walking the dogs. She completed her contract and returned home to pursue a caregiving certificate. Due to this, she decided to return home.
Torres looks forward to work in Singapore again to earn money to support her family.
