She is a unique case in that though she has worked in S'pore for nearly 5 yrs, she's never worked as a domestic helper as of now. She 1st worked in S'pore as a Cust Service Asst for 4 yrs at the S'pore River Cruise. She then returned home & had a baby. After caring for her son for about 2 yrs she has decided to come to S'pore to work again but this time as a domestic helper. She prefers to be a helper instead as she has her own lifetime experience in all household chores, with kids, babies & even in cooking. Besides, she feels that in reality it earns her more disposable capital which she can save for her future plans. (Earlier when she worked here she had to find her own food, house & transport expenses etc). Surprisingly, despite her experience in the non-domestic working world here, Rutchelle is humble, unassuming & comes across as a responsible, honest & trustworthy person. She never wished to hang out & enjoy herself. On the contrary, she is more domesticated than the average domestic helper here. By virtue of her stint in S'pore she also has that maturity to assimilate & interact with any level of society.
