Experiences

1 year (Jan 2022 – Jan 2023) as a caregiver in the Philippines

Jenny May worked in an apartment with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a family, and she looked after the welfare of a 68-year-old female, a stroke patient with Parkinson’s disease.  

(Jan 2023 – Mar 2023)

Stayed home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Kuwait.

1 year 1 month (Mar 2023 – Apr 2024) as a helper in Kuwait

Jenny May worked in a 4-storey house, but they lived on a ground floor with 3-bedrooms, 3-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a family of 2 with a 65-year-old diabetic female, and she looked after her welfare, together with a Kuwaiti co-helper. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. She was also asked to look after her employer’s grandchildren.

(May 2024 – Jul 2024)

She went back home and then returned to work for her employer in Kuwait.

5 months (Aug 2024 – Jan 2025) as a helper in Kuwait

Jenny May returned to her previous employer with same routine.  

(Feb 2025 – Aug 2025)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and seek new opportunities.      

(Sep 2025 – Feb 2026)

She worked in logistics, handling import and export cargo bookings.        

(Mar 2026 – present)

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new opportunities.      

Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino and simple Arabic dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.  

 Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth.

 

Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her previous experience, she prepared their meals and fed them, administered their medication and insulin, checked their blood pressure and sugar level, accompanied them for outdoor activities and doctor’s appointment, attended to and assisted in their needs and mobility.  

 

Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.  

 

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour.

 

2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.

 

Recommendation

As a caregiver, her main duty is towards patient’s welfare and wellness, hygiene and cleanliness of patient’s room area. Jenny May is mature and ready to take on new challenge.
