General Housekeeping				I have taken care of children, by preparing them to go to school, shower them, prepare everything for them & send them to school & bring them back home without employer telling me to do so. I like playing with children, help them with homework.

Care for Infant				Actually I don't have an experience on taking care of babies of others, but only experience taking care of my own two sons.
Cooking				I can follow recipes from the book and I know how to budget the food. I prepare their food by myself without being told - (in) other words I cook independently. If we go out w/ my employer and I see the dishes and the ingredients, then I try to cook at home.
Care For Elderly/Disabled				I don't have experience w/ (elderly care), but I'm willing to learn for everything on taking care of elderly or disabled.

Hiezel, or Hazel, is a middle child of 3 siblings. Looking for better income, went through basic maid training & minimal Cantonese & went to work in H'Kong. There she took care of 2 kids (4 & 6 yrs) incl sending them to school. Learned housekeeping skills & Chinese cooking. 1. In she came to work in Singapore, husband takes care of their sons. Here she 1st worked in a large house with 5 adults – where she took care of everything including hand washing bed linens. Now with her 2nd employer she is finishing her 2-year contract – taking care of 4-storey house – further polishing her cleaning, housekeeping & cooking skills, as well as taking care of 4 dogs. Hazel shares “(I’m) Trustworthy. If they (employer) went overseas, they trust me to see (to) their house. ” She also says she has “a heart for cooking” – “If we go out w/ my employer & I taste a dish, then I try to cook (them) at home”. She’s planning to take Caregiver & Cooking courses to further develop her skills. Hazel may appear reserved but she communicates well. She's well-mannered & has a good command of English.
