She worked in Hong Kong for years as an all around maid, babysitter, and caregiver. Vilma is a native of Abra, province in the northern part of Philippines. She finished high school at Cayapa National High School in their hometown. She went to college but was able to finish a semester in computer secretarial course. Their financial difficulties made her decide then to apply in Hong Kong as a maid. She wanted to save more for her future and for family as well.
