Experiences

2 years (Jun – Feb ) as a helper in Dubai

Jean started working in a 4-bedroom flat with a 4-toilets, and after 7 months they moved into a 3-storey house with 8-bedrooms, 8-toilets, a living room and kitchen for an Arabian family of 7 with a 7-year-old, together with an Ethiopian co-helper. Daily she cleans and tidy the house, mopping and vacuuming, wash and clean the kitchen and utensils after use, do laundry, ironing and folding, do daily cleaning and washing of three cars, looks after the child welfare. She did not continue working as her modesty was compromised.

(Mar – Apr )

Returned home, looks after her child’s welfare and applied to work in Qatar.

2 years (May – May ) as a helper in Qatar

Jean worked in a 3-storey house with a basement, garden, 5-bedrooms, 5-toilets, 3-living room and a kitchen for a family of 5 with a -year-old, together with 2 Filipino co-helpers and a driver. Daily she cleans and tidy the house, mopping and vacuuming, do marketing, wash and clean the kitchen and utensils after use, do laundry, ironing and folding, plant watering and tend to the garden, looks after the teen’s welfare. In all these she learned to manage the work well, be a patient helper and for her future employment, she hopes to learn new culture and customs.

Returns home, take rest and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo and chicken stew, etc. , keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and she looks after her own since birth.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and she has an Aspin and two cats at home, she groom the dog, fed and keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour.



2 years contract

She is aware that she will enter a 2-year contract.
