March 2012 to May 2014, Nalyn worked as a housemaid and store clerk for a Filipino family of four. Nalyn shared a room with the family cook and managed a range of household and store-related responsibilities, such as cleaning, laundry and ironing, and washing dishes. As store clerk, she acted as a bagger in the family’s shop next to their house and customer care assistant where she assisted customers with their purchases, through attentive and helpful service.

Although she does'nt cook during that time, she definitely cooks Filipino dishes that includes adobo, aftrida, chopsuey,pancit beejon, spaghetti with meatballs, paksiw, taro in coconut, pakbet, sweet and sour, menudo and can follow recipe books.
