Experiences

6 years (2013 – 2019) as a stay-out helper in the Philippines

Riza worked in a flat with 4-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 6 with a 2-, 6-, 14- and 15-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

(2020 – 2022)

Stayed home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Kuwait.

2 years 1 month (Nov 2022 – Dec 2024) as a helper in Kuwait

Riza worked in a 4-storey house with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, 2-bathroom, a living room, garage and kitchen for an Iraqi family of 5 with a 3-year-old twins, 7- and 9-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a co-helper. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, wash and clean the family car. In all these, she learned to manage her work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new work opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Kuwait, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic dishes, such as mashboos diyay etc.


Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth.


Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly.


Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In her local experience, she groomed, fed and walked two Labrador and four Shih Tzu, kept clean the pet areas.


Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour.


2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.


Recommendation

In summary, Riza is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
