Process for Hiring a Domestic Helper in Singapore
SOURCING - we have established a trusted network of partners based in The Philippines to give prospective employers a good choice of excellent candidates, from which to make a confident choice.
BEST FIT - we undertake extensive discovery and consultation with prospective employers to better understand requirements and personality and regard to all known circumstances at home. This enables us to help source and match the best possible candidates.
PLACEMENT - Once a match is made, we handle all administrative and logistical processes. We ensure ongoing communication, provide support as needed, and assist with replacements or repatriation when engagements conclude.

Steps for Prospective Employers
The following is a quick overview for prospective employers to gain an understanding of the process. We will of course be on hand to provide further information and guide you along the day.
Understand your requirement for a domestic helper
Fill out the form for details of your household, and your requirement for a domestic helper.
Discuss your preferences for a domestic helper with us at APME.
Screening and Selection
Review profiles provided by APME and interview potential domestic helpers to find a suitable match.
Documentation and Work Permit Application
Submit and sign required documents, that will allow APME to submit the work permit on your behalf for the selected domestic helper. APME will require the helper's personal details, and the employer's particulars.
APME will apply for a work permit through the Ministry of Manpower (MoM).
Pre-Employment Training and Medical Examination
APME will ensure the domestic helper completes the Settling In Program which is an MoM mandatory orientation program for first time MDW to educate them on safety precautions and living in Singapore
APME to provide in house training based on employer’s needs.
APME to arrange for a medical examination for the MDW as required by MoM.
Signing the Employment Contract
Review and sign the employment contract outlining the terms and conditions of employment.
Post-Arrival Procedures
APME to helper at assist the helper and take them to the point of arrival at the employer’s residence.
APME to facilitate registration of the helper’s fingerprints and photo at MOM Services Centre.
Settling In
Provide a conducive living environment and introduction to household routines and responsibilities.
SERVICES OFFERED
At APME, we specialize in domestic helpers from the Philippines and Indonesia. If you prefer different countries, please let us know and we will try our best. We can certainly source from other countries permitted in Singapore, but must always work within the Singapore legal framework.
NEW HELPERS FROM THE PHILIPPINES AND INDONESIA - We have extensive sourcing capabilities in the Philippines and Indonesia. We maintain strict screening and interview requirements to maintain a high standard of helpers suitable for each employer.
TRANSFER HELPERS - We can offer experienced helpers already living in Singapore. Although already experienced, we still ensure stringent screening and interview requirements.
DIRECT HIRE AND RENEWAL PROCESSING - If you have found a helper by yourself, we can still help manage all the contracts, paperwork and processes in compliance with Singapore regulations.
DOMESTIC HELPER INSURANCE - Medical Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance are a requirement for helpers in Singapore. We are licensed with the General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) and are happy to provide guidance on MOM requirements and to provide insurance quotations.
TRAINING - In addition to mandatory training requirements, we also have an extensive network of training available for specific needs. Just let us know what you need or let us provide some recommendations based on your family circumstances.
