Claire is a 37yo Filipino domestic helper.
She finished her study in Bachelor of Arts for 4 years.
She is the eldest child in her family.
Therefore, she is looking forward to work in Singapore to earn more money for her own future.
Sep 2015 to Jun 2019 (3yrs&9mths) Hong Kong: Claire was working in a Chinese Family with 2 children (age of 3yo boy & newborn).
After 2 years, mam gave birth to a newborn girl.
Staying in a 2-storey house with 4 rooms, she had her own room.
She took care of 3yo boy and assisted mam in taking care of newborn during day time.
She also managed in pet care (1 Corgi) and all the household chores such as cleaning, washing, ironing, laundry, walk the dog, gardening, marketing and cooking.
She finished contract and her employers moved to Australia.
Oct 2019 to Feb 2020 (4mths) Hong Kong: Claire was working in a Chinese Family with 1 child (newborn girl).
Staying in a flat with 2 rooms.
She took care the kid during day time.
Her duties included but were not limited to: changing diapers, giving baths, changing clothes, sterilizing bottles, preparing and feeding milk.
She also managed in pet care (1 cat) and household chores such as cleaning, washing, ironing, laundry and cooking.
Claire mentioned that she cooked daily and she is able to cook Chinese food such as steam fish, steam pork with egg, ABC soup, chicken with radish and corn, and so on.
Due to the pandemic,mam lost her job and was concerned about the possibility of a lockdown, so Claire returned home.
During our face to face interview in Manila, Claire shared that she is able to cook well and she enjoys hiking and outdoors adventures.
She also can understand a little bit of mandarin.
She is now ready to work abroad to earn more money.
Claire describes herself as a loyal, trustworthy, flexible and hardworking person.
