Carina is a 39yo Filipino domestic helper. Carina is currently a housewife and she wishes to spend more time with her children before pursuing employment overseas. She is looking forward to work in Singapore to earn more money for her family.
2013 to 2015 (2yrs) Philippines : Carina was working in a Filipino-Chinese Family with 1 child (age of newborn girl). Staying in an apartment with 4 rooms,only helper in the household. She took care of the newborn and her duties including changing diapers, giving baths, changing clothes, preparing and feeding milk, and sleeping with baby at night. She managed in all the household chores such as cleaning, washing, ironing, laundry, car wash x1 (sometimes) and cooking. She is able to cook simple Chinese food such as steam chicken, stir-fried vegetables, tofu steam egg, beef with broccoli and so on. She finished her contract and wanted to try to work in different household.
2017 to 2020 (3yrs&8mths) Philippines : Carina was working in a Chinese Family with 2 children (age of 2yo & 5yo-girls). Staying in an apartment with 3rooms, only helper in the household. She took care of the children and her duties including preparing food, assisting to prepare for showers, preparing the child's school bag and uniform, bringing the children to school and reading book for the children. She managed in all the household chores such as cleaning,washing, ironing, laundry, car wash x1 (sometimes) and cooking. She finished her contract and employer relocated back to China.
2020 to 2021 (9mths) Philippines: Carina was working in a Korean Family with more than 15 children. Staying in a 2-storey house with 5 rooms, 4 helpers in the household. She mainly in charged of cooking and laundry. Occasionally, she also helped in looking after the children. She is able to cook simple Korean food such as ramyeon, kimchi soup, fried kimchi pork, bibimbap and so on. She was unable to complete her contract as she had to cook a large quantity of meals by herself every day.
2021 to 2025 (4yrs) Philippines: Carina was working in a Malaysian-Chinese Family with 1 child (age of 3yo girl). Staying in an apartment with 4 rooms, only helper in the household. She took care of the child and 1 small dog. She managed in all the household chores such as cleaning, washing, ironing, laundry and cooking. She finished her contract and employer went back to Malaysia.
During our face to face interview in Manila, Carina describes herself as a cheerful person. She is now ready to work abroad to earn more money for her children.
