She completed high school and is able to communicate in fairly good English, both spoken and written. Her employment history is strong, having worked with only two employers in Singapore over a combined period of 16 years, where she cared for 2 newborns and 3 children across two households.

Her first employer was a family of five consisting of Sir, Ma’am, and three daughters aged 8, 7, and 3. Chekie prepared simple breakfasts for the children, helped them get ready for school by showering them, packing their school bags, and ensuring they wore neatly ironed uniforms with clean shoes and socks. When the children returned home around 6 pm, she showered them again, changed them into clean clothes, and served them dinner. She ensured the children were well fed and safe while they engaged in their own activities, before continuing with her housekeeping chores. She maintained a 3‑bedroom HDB flat with 2 toilets, keeping it clean, organized, and well ventilated. Chekie served this family for 10 years until the children grew into teenagers and became independent, after which she was transferred as the family no longer required her services.

Her second and current employer is a family of four with Sir, Ma’am, and two boys, one just 10 days old when she started and another born in 2023. She performed full nanny duties for both infants, including feeding, burping, bathing, diaper changing, soothing, and monitoring sleep routines, always ensuring hygiene and safety. As the children grew older and began attending school, she prepared them each morning by showering them, dressing them in clean uniforms, and ensuring their shoes and socks were ready. She shared a room with the youngest child, taking care of him at night to ensure his comfort and safety. In addition, she attended to the daily needs of Sir and Ma’am while maintaining a 3‑bedroom HDB flat with 2 toilets. She ensured the household was kept clean, organized, and free of clutter at the end of each day to prevent accidents or falls.

Chekie enjoys cooking and is skilled in preparing Chinese and Asian dishes such as braised pork, soy sauce chicken, sweet and sour fish or pork, adobo, chicken rice, laksa, steamed fish, chicken, and eggs, as well as a variety of fried items.

Having served her current employer for 6 years, Chekie is ready for transfer after Chinese New Year 2026. She seeks a change of environment to broaden her perspective and experience with other families.
