She also handled general household duties including cleaning, washing, ironing, car washing, and cooking Filipino food. She was the only helper in a 2-storey house with 4 bedrooms. In addition, she took care of 2 dogs (a Labrador and a Shih Tzu), including feeding and bathing them.
Jun 2023 to Nov 2025 (2yrs & 5mths) Philippines: Sharmaine worked for a Chinese Filipino family, caring for an 85yo elderly man who was a cancer survivor. Her main duties included elderly care such as preparing and administering medication, injecting insulin, monitoring blood sugar and blood pressure, and preparing his clothes. She also assisted other helpers with general household duties including cleaning, washing, ironing, laundry, and occasionally cooking. She worked in a 3-storey house with 5 bedrooms alongside three other helpers, each assigned to different roles such as cooking, general housework, and driving with pet care. She completed her contract as her employer migrated to China.
