Mary Jean is a Filipino domestic helper with experience working in Singapore and the Middle East. She has hands-on experience in childcare and household management.

Feb 2026 to Present. Her main duty was caring for the 7-year-old child with autism, with whom she shared the same room. She prepares Chinese dishes, like sweet and sour dishes, tofu recipes, steamed vegetables with meat or fish, braised pork, stir-fried noodles, soups, and fried rice. She is able to follow recipes provided by her employers and can adapt her cooking according to their preferences. Due to the child's restless sleeping patterns and frequent waking during the night, she experienced difficulty getting adequate rest and seeking transfer.

Sep 2025 to Jan 2026. Dubai, UAE. As the only helper, she was responsible for household duties including cleaning, laundry, and ironing. She learned to make salata, molokiyah, shawarma, biryani and samosa. She left due to the challenges with employer's household.

Dec 2023 to Dec 2024. Bahrain. For a Royal family in a 2-storey mansion with children aged 7y, 9y, 10y and with two other helpers, each helper took care of one child. Mary Jean was tasked to look after the 10y old boy and she would prepare his meals, ride along with him to school (send/pick up), accompany him with other activities like boxing, swimming, football, painting and other sports. Also helped on his English homework or basic Math's. In addition to her childcare responsibilities, she assisted with cleaning, laundry, and ironing. Her employers relocated to the UK and so all the helpers were sent home.
