She speaks English and reads it very well and understands some Mandarin. There are 2 helpers in the home because they care for a person who has dementia and mobility has to be guided.  Cleaning of the house is daily and watering of the garden is daily. She is neat and tidy and clean. I have provided a cleaning schedule that she follows. She is driven to the wet market weekly and supermarket bi-weekly. When I am unable to drive her, she will take a bus to the market and grab home. She would look at the pricing in the supermarket and select items of the better pricing. Eg. Melanie is able to learn very quickly. My communication and instruction to her is mainly over whatsapp. She goes out 2 Sundays a month even though she is allowed to go out every Sunday if she wants to. She comes home punctually by 6pm. Melanie has shown interest to work and have an income to support her family. She goes on home leave once in 2 years and has come back every time as agreed upon. Melanie is a helper who can work well independently.
