She was primarily responsible for caring for their 7-month-old infant, while also assisting with general housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and grocery shopping. She prepared a variety of meals, including black chicken soup, stir-fried meat with vegetables, egg fried rice, chicken rice, steamed fish, and other dishes requested by the employers. Monalisa requested a transfer due to challenges adapting to the household environment. She was not provided with a private sleeping space and shared a room with the mother and the baby and could not have enough rest.
Oct 2024 - Mar 2025 - Singapore. For Chinese family residing in a four-bedroom HDB unit. She was responsible for a range of general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, dishwashing, and grocery shopping. She also prepared various meals for the family, such as noodle soup, lasagna, aglio olio, fried rice, chicken herbal soup, and other home-cooked dishes. When the employer’s parents assumed responsibility for childcare, the family reassigned Monalisa’s role and brought in a nanny. As a result, she was transferred.

The household included an elderly couple, their adult child, and two large dogs. Her responsibilities encompassed both pet care and elderly care. She fed, bathed, walked the dogs, and trimmed their nails regularly. For the elderly couple, she provided daily assistance, including accompanying them to medical appointments, preparing their medications, and ensuring they had all necessary essentials. Monalisa also prepared meals such as Thai spring rolls, rice cakes, fried rice, and various other dishes, following recipes from the elderly lady’s personal cookbook. In addition, she managed general household chores, including car washing and gardening.
May 2022 - Sep 2022 Singapore. For a Chinese-Malay couple residing in a three-bedroom condominium unit. She was responsible for the care of two children, aged 6 and 4. Her duties included preparing their meals and packed lunches, dropping them off and picking them up from school, and accompanying them to playdates. In addition to childcare, Monalisa managed the household chores and occasionally washed the employer’s car. She prepared daily meals such as chicken soup, fried rice, and stir-fried meat with vegetables and other dishes the family prefer. She requested a transfer due to difficulties adjusting to the household environment. Additionally, she was not provided with a room, which affected her rest and privacy.

At the time of her employment, the employer’s wife was expecting a baby, and Monalisa primarily cared for their toddler. Her duties included feeding, bathing, preparing the child for school, dropping off and picking up from school, as well as accompanying the child to playdates and the playground. When the baby was born, the couple\s parents moved in, and the family hired an additional helper to focus on the newborn. Monalisa regularly prepared a variety of dishes, including baked chicken with carrots and potatoes, biryani, braised pork, curry, pasta, fish and chips, English breakfast, and shepherd’s pie. She also cooked Filipino dishes such as adobo, tinola, beef and pork stews, and spring rolls. In addition to her cooking skills, Monalisa enjoys baking and loves making chocolate cakes, chiffon cakes, banana bread, muffins, and other baked treats. She often explores new recipes and techniques through YouTube to enhance her baking.
