Additionally, she was not provided with a room, which affected her rest and privacy. At the time of her employment, the employer’s wife was expecting a baby, and Monalisa primarily cared for their toddler.  Her responsibilities also included household tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, ironing, meal planning, grocery shopping, wet market errands, and gardening.  Monalisa regularly prepared a variety of dishes, including baked chicken with carrots and potatoes, biryani, braised pork, curry, pasta, fish and chips, English breakfast, and shepherd’s pie. She also cooked Filipino dishes such as adobo, tinola, beef and pork stews, and spring rolls.  In addition to her cooking skills, Monalisa enjoys baking and loves making chocolate cakes, chiffon cakes, banana bread, muffins, and other baked treats.
