Experiences

6 years 5 months (Feb 2017 – Jul 2023) as a helper in Saudi Arabia

Jocelyn worked in a 4-storey house with a pool, 7-bedrooms, 7-toilets, 5-living room, 3-kitchen, a garden and garage for a Royal family of 8 with a 5-, 10-, 15-, 17- and 18-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with 5 co-helpers. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.

Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.

Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants. In Saudi Arabia, she prepared their meals, assisted to bathe, dressed and sent them to-and-fro from school, watched over their playing and safety, attended to and assisted in their needs.

Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.

Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.

2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.

Recommendation

In summary, Jocelyn is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
