Family is very important to Raquel, and she takes great pride in raising her children with love and discipline, while supporting her husband in providing for their household. Growing up in a rural community, Raquel learned early the values of patience, hard work, and responsibility, which she carried with her into adulthood.

In 2004, Raquel completed her secondary education at Lucban High School. Although she was not able to pursue college due to financial limitations, she chose to help her family and start working to support her younger siblings.

Her career as a domestic helper, :

PHILIPPINES (2018 to 2020), she worked for a Filipino family living in a 3-bedroom, 2-storey house. The household included a couple and their 1-year-old child. Raquel served as an all-around helper—doing household chores such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, marketing, and most importantly, childcare. She was in charge of bathing, feeding, and playing with the child, helping him grow in a clean and safe environment.

SINGAPORE (October 2023 - Mar 2024), Raquel had the opportunity to work overseas in Singapore. She was hired by a Chinese family living in a 3-room HDB flat. The family had four children aged 16, 15, 10, and 7. There were two helpers in the household, and Raquel was mainly responsible for taking care of the two younger children. Her daily duties included childminding, laundry, ironing, marketing, and car washing. Unfortunately, her employment ended in March 2024 when the employer decided to relocate the entire family back to China.

With her years of experience, Raquel is confident in handling all household tasks. She claims to be good at keeping the house clean—a job that she is willing and happy to take on. She understands the importance of maintaining a tidy and organized home, especially in households with children.

She is also capable of performing childcare duties such as feeding, bathing, preparing school things, and playing with the children. In terms of cooking, Raquel is comfortable preparing Filipino dishes and simple Chinese meals. She is able to follow recipe books and is very enthusiastic about learning how to cook new foreign dishes.

Later, she moved to Thailand, where she gained valuable experience at a beach resort—serving as a Kids Club Attendant from 2008 to 2012 she supervised children’s activities and ensured a safe and enjoyable environment and planned and facilitated recreational and educational programs for the children. then transitioning to a Cashier from 2013 to 2015.

PHILIPPINES ( January 2025 – July 2025) , Gee accepted a deeply meaningful role as a full-time caregiver to a 75-year-old Filipino male elder. He required intensive, around-the-clock care, as he was dependent on a nasogastric tube (NGT) for feeding, an oxygen tank for breathing support, and a urinary catheter. Her primary focus was the comfort and well-being of the elder. She was responsible for monitoring his vital signs, managing his medications, and assisting with daily hygiene routines such as bathing, changing diapers, repositioning him to prevent bedsores, and ensuring a clean and safe environment around him. She also prepared special meals that complied with his medical condition, even though feeding was done through NGT—showing her attentiveness to proper nutrition and health standards.

Beyond the physical care, Gee provided emotional support and companionship during the elder’s final months. Though her employment ended sooner than expected, her dedication left a lasting impact on the family she served.

Through years of service and experience, Gee has become skilled not only in caregiving but also in household tasks, cooking (Filipino and Thai dishes), and childcare. She is confident in her abilities, deeply respectful, and always willing to learn.
