Elma did housekeeping duties such as cleaning, vacuuming rags and spaces, washing dishes, doing laundry, ironing and preparing variety of meals for the family, including traditional dishes such as kabsah, mulkiyah, biryani, shawarma, majboosh, harees, pani puri, hashweh, bread rolls, chapati, and tashreeb. She managed household tasks in a two-story villa with two spacious bedroom and living rooms on each floor, where she would vacuum, clean, wash dishes, do laundry, iron clothes and sanitize.
