Almeida is a Filipino domestic helper with more than 5 years of experience working in Kuwait and Singapore. She has experience in landed and HDB households, performing duties that include cooking Chinese and Middle-Eastern cuisines, elderly care, and disabled care.

Oct 2024 to Present. Singapore. For a Scottish/Malay elderly couple, aged 74 and 76, in a 3-bedroom HDB. Her duties included elderly care, medication reminders, accompanying them to medical appointments, assisting with daily routines, and massaging the elderly lady’s legs each morning. She also handled cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, and plant care. She prepared 2 to 3 dishes for dinner and could follow recipes and meal plans, including Chinese, Malay, and Western dishes and prepared 2 to 3 dishes for dinner. Her cooking includes stir-fried pork with onion rings, steamed fish, curry chicken, steamed chicken, teriyaki salmon, lotus root soup, stir-fried French beans, fish with black bean sauce, bejoon, and sweet and sour prawns. Almeida is completing her contract and will return home for a break.

Sep 2010 to Sep 2014. Kuwait. For a Kuwaiti family in a 4-bedroom, two-storey landed house, caring for a 69-year-old bedridden lady with diabetes, who lived with her son. She worked with another helper and was responsible for changing diapers, feeding, bed bathing, and assisting with the lady’s daily care needs. Her household duties included cleaning, cooking, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, and accompanying the elderly lady to hospital appointments. She also provided light massage when needed. Food was provided by the employer’s children, thus cooking is not required. She completed her contract.
