Maria Isabel is the youngest among four siblings. She then pursued a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Araullo University, graduating in 2004. Additionally, she worked as a nursing attendant at a hospital, where she was assigned to service 32 rooms—including 10 private and 23 public ward rooms. Her responsibilities included changing bed linens and diapers, assisting with hygiene, administering medication, monitoring vital signs, catheter drainage, and patient exercise routines. This experience gave her valuable, hands-on medical exposure and a deep understanding of patient care. Her tasks include assisting with bathing, meal preparation and cooking, medication management, and accompanying the client during walks and exercise sessions. She approaches her care-giving role with patience, empathy, and professionalism.

She is comfortable preparing simple Filipino dishes and is eager to learn and adapt to other foreign cuisines to meet the dietary preferences of her future employers.

Maria Isabel is now looking for an opportunity to work overseas, particularly as a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) with a focus on elderly care. Once selected, she will undergo a one-week In-House Private Training in Manila (TESDA-accredited) followed by the OWWA seminar, prior to the processing of her Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC).

Edylene completed her secondary education at Don Felix T. Lacson Memorial National High School in 2003. With a strong desire to help support her growing family, she began working as a housemaid both locally and abroad.

Her experience as a domestic helper are:

PHILIPPINES (2004–2005), where she served a large household consisting of a couple and their seven children aged 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 2, and 1. She worked in a two-storey, three-bedroom home as an all-around helper, assisting with household chores such as cleaning, cooking, marketing, and laundry. She also worked hand-in-hand with her employer in caring for the children, developing early on her skills and patience in childcare.

SINGAPORE (September 2021 to October 2023), Edylene was employed by a Malay-Chinese family living in a five-bedroom HDB flat. The household included a couple, their three children (aged 8, 6, and a newborn), and an 82-year-old mobile female elder. As an all-around helper, she was responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the house, cooking, laundry, marketing, and most importantly, caring for the children. Her ability to manage a busy household and meet the needs of both children and an elderly family member demonstrates her flexibility and reliability.

Currently, Edylene is in the Philippines, taking care of her own children while waiting for her overseas job application to be selected.

While she prefers working with children, Edylene is also open to caregiving for the elderly and is willing to be trained in providing direct nursing care and supervision if needed. Her previous experience with an elderly employer in Singapore has given her a good foundation for such responsibilities.

She knows how to cook Filipino dishes and has learned how to prepare simple Chinese meals. Additionally, she is open to learning more foreign cuisines to meet the preferences of her future employer.
