Introduction

I worked in Malaysia from 2023 to 2024 for a Malaysian family. My duties included assisting her daily needs and making sure she was safe. I also did general housework, gardening, and cooking South Indian food. There was also a small dog in the house. I stopped working because the employer relocated far and I could not continue working with them.

After that, I worked in a camera factory as a machine operator from 2024 to 2025.

I can cook North Indian, South Indian, and Gujarati dishes such as appam, dosa, idli, upma, paratha, and sambal. I am willing to learn new recipes and improve my cooking skills.

I am hardworking and responsible, and I hope to find a stable employer where I can continue working and support the household.

Geraldine completed her secondary education at Northern Abra National High School in 2009. She pursued a degree in Information Technology but was unable to finish due to financial constraints.

She has gained valuable experience working as a housemaid in the Philippines.

From 2015 to 2019, she served a Chinese family living in a four-bedroom, three-story house with three children aged 15, 11, and 10. She performed all-around household duties, including cleaning, cooking, and assisting with the children’s needs. Her responsibilities included general housekeeping, cooking, and childcare.

With her years of experience, Geraldine is well-versed in household chores such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, marketing, cooking, and dishwashing. She is also willing to look after elderly individuals and is open to training in providing direct nursing care if required.

She has knowledge of cooking Filipino dishes such as adobo, sinigang, pakbet, and tinola, and is eager to learn foreign cuisines. Additionally, she is willing to perform basic gardening, pet care, and car washing if needed.

Upon selection, she will undergo three weeks of in-house private training in Manila (accredited by TESDA), followed by an OWWA seminar and processing of POEA employment documents for deployment.

She completed her secondary education at Cauayan National High School in 2007. Although she did not pursue higher education, Sonia has developed practical skills and strong work values through her years of employment, particularly in domestic service both locally and abroad.

Sonia had her local and international domestic work experiences:

Philippines from 2010 to 2012. She was employed by a Filipino family living in a two-storey, three-bedroom house with a couple and their 2-year-old child. As the sole helper, she was fully responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the house. Her duties included general cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, and hands-on childcare. The household consisted of a couple and three children aged 17, 13, and 5. She worked alongside another maid, and together they handled daily household chores such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and cooking. Sonia also assisted in looking after the children, ensuring their daily needs were met and supporting the family in maintaining a well-organized home. The employer’s family consisted of a couple and a newborn baby, occupying one section of the house, while five other helpers were assigned to different areas. Sonia’s primary responsibilities focused on the employer’s personal space, including cleaning their room, doing their laundry, preparing breakfast , and providing attentive care for the newborn baby. She is knowledgeable in feeding, grooming, and engaging children in meaningful activities. She is also capable in performing various household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and ironing. She can cook Filipino and basic Arab dishes and is eager to learn new recipes by following instructions carefully. Additionally, she is willing to take on tasks such as pet care, car washing, and gardening. She has also expressed her willingness to care for elderly individuals and persons with special needs if given the opportunity.
