Growing up in a close-knit family, Carmela developed strong values of responsibility, patience, and dedication to caregiving.

She completed her secondary education at Piaz National High School in 2006. Since then, she has focused on raising her family while gaining hands-on experience in childcare, household management, and caregiving through both overseas and local employment.

At present, Carmela is taking care of her children and managing household duties while awaiting selection for employment in Singapore.

Carmela has relevant employment experience in both childcare and elderly care.

MALAYSIA (2014 to 2016), she worked for a Chinese family living in a four-bedroom, two-storey family house. The household consisted of a couple and an 8-month-old baby. As the sole helper, she was fully responsible for the baby’s daily care, including feeding, bathing, and ensuring the child’s safety and well-being, in addition to performing all household chores. The household included a couple and a one-year-old child. Her duties focused on childcare and managing daily household tasks, ensuring a clean and organized home environment. She worked on an eight-hour daily shift, providing personal care, assistance with daily needs, close supervision, and companionship, while also performing light household chores. She is also capable of elderly care, particularly for bedridden seniors, and is experienced in maintaining household cleanliness.

She can cook Filipino dishes and basic Chinese meals and has a strong interest in learning new cuisines. She follows recipes well and is willing to improve her cooking skills further.

Upon selection, Carmela will undergo a one-week In-House Private Training in Manila accredited by TESDA, followed by an OWWA seminar, prior to the processing of her Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) for deployment.
